Ingredients:
2 cups scalded milk
6 tbsp oil
2 tbsp honey
1/4 cup lukewarm water
1 yeast cake
1 tsp vegetized slat
3 cups unbleached rye flour
3 cups whole wheat flour mixed with wheat
germ
Method:

Make a sponge of scalded milk, oil,
honey, vegetized salt, and part of rye flour.

When cool, add yeast which has been
dissolved in the warm water.

Now add rest of rye flour and also
whole wheat flour.

The dough should be as stiff as can be
stirred with a spoon.

Set to rise over warm water.

When light, stir down; and when light
again, put in muffin tins.

When dough has risen to double original
bulk, bake in oven at 375oF to 400oF.
