Using A Chef's Knife

  • Any chopping job becomes easier with proper use of a chef's knife.

  • The knife is designed with enough room to grasp the handle so that the fingers don't touch the chopping board while you chop.

  • Grasp the handle firmly; lightly place the fingers of the other hand on the tip of the blade.

  • To efficiently chop, rock the knife handle up and down, keeping the tip of the knife on the cutting board.
