Using Fresh Garlic

  • Mince or crush a garlic clove so that its strong flavor and aroma are evenly distributed throughout a food.

  • The finer the pieces, the stronger the flavor.

  • To crush garlic, place a peeled garlic clove in a garlic press, then clamp the handles together.

  • Be sure to clean the press thoroughly after each use.

  • To mince garlic, use a sharp utility knife to cut into very tiny, irregularly shaped pieces.
