Pear-Cheese Crumble Recipe

Ingredients:

 

8 pears, pared, cored and in halves

1/2 cup peanut flour

1 tsp grated lemon rind

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp ginger

1/4 tsp mace

3 tbsp vegetable oil

1/3 cup grated cheese

 

Method:

  • Place pears in shallow 2-quart casserole.

  • Combine peanut flour, lemon rind, and spices; pour in vegetable oil.

  • Sprinkle over pears.

  • Now combine water and lemon juice and pour over pears.

  • Bake in moderate oven (350oF) from 12 to 15 minutes, or until tender.

  • Top with grated cheese and broil until cheese is bubbly and brown.
