Ingredients:
2 yeast cakes
1 quart lukewarm water
1/3 cup raw sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 cups applesauce
8 cups whole wheat flour
Method:
Dissolve yeast cakes in small amount of
lukewarm water.
Mix vegetable oil, applesauce, and
remaining water.
Add dissolved yeast.
Add flour and make a stiff dough.
Knead well.
Let rise in warm place until double in
bulk.
Knead and let rise again.
Shape into loaves and let rise until
double.
Bake in hot oven (425oF) for 1
hour.
