Tomato-Garlic Bread Recipes

Ingredients:

 

1 cup lukewarm or room-temperature tomato juice

1 cup warm water

1 package dry yeast

1/4 cup vegetable oil

1 tsp garlic powder

1/3 cup molasses

1 tbsp lecithin

2 cups unbleached white flour

3 cups hard spring wheat flour (sold at special diet shoppes)

1 tbsp sea salt

 

Method:

  • Pour tomato juice and water into a large mixing bowl and add yeast, oil, garlic powder, molasses, lecithin, and flour, and then sea salt.

  • Mix and knead well.

  • Put in oiled bowl, cover and let rise to double in bulk.

  • Knead well, return to bowl, cover, and set aside to rise.

  • When double its bulk, form into loaves, cover, and set aside.

  • When 1 inch above pans, bake at 350oF for 60 minutes.

  • Shape loaves in any form desired.
