No-Chocolate "Chocolate" Custard Recipe

Ingredients:

 

4 cups milk

6 eggs

2 tbsp honey

1 tsp vanilla

1 cup carob powder (tastes richer than chocolate and is a root product)

 

Method

  • Scald milk.

  • Add a small amount to carob and mix into smooth paste.

  • Add hot milk.

  • Now combine honey and vanilla to slightly beaten eggs.

  • Stir milk and carob mixture into eggs and bake at moderate temperature as individual custards.

  • This has the rich taste of chocolate yet is all-natural.
