Oat Biscuits Recipe (Wheat, Egg, Milk-Free)

Ingredients:

 

1/3 cup vegetable oil

1 cup water

2 tbsp raw sugar

1 tsp sea slat

3 cups rolled oats

 

Method

  • Stir the oil, water, sugar and salt together.

  • Add oats a little at a time.

  • This makes a stiff dough.

  • Pat out between waxed paper.

  • Cut with biscuits cutter, having dough about 1/2-inch thick.

  • Place on oiled cookie sheet and bake 45 minutes at 350oF.

  • These are delicious when hot from the oven.

  • Although not exceptionally light, they bring back taste memories of old-fashioned beaten biscuits.
