Wheat Germ Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

 

1 1/2 cups unsifted, natural, unbleached cake flour

4 eggs

1/4 tsp vegetized salt

1/2 cup warm water

1 cup honey

3 tbsp oil

6 tbsp wheat germ

 

Method

  • Sift the flour several times.

  • Beat the egg yolks with sea salt and warm water, adding the water in about 3 dashes.

  • Beat them i=until they are light and stiff.

  • Add the honey slowly. now add the oil.

  • Fold into this mixture the flour and wheat germ.

  • Now fold in the beaten egg whites,

  • Bake in a tube pan from 40 minutes to 60 minutes.

  • Begin baking at 275oF for the first 15 minutes; slowly increase heat to 350oF to finish the baking.

  • Invert dish when it is cool.
