New England Fish Chowder Recipes

Ingredients

1 lb fish fillets or steaks

1/2 cup chopped onion

2 1/2 cups diced potatoes

1 1/2 cups boiling water

1 tsp sea salt

2 cups milk

1 tbsp margarine

chopped parsley

 

Method

  • Remove skin and bones from fish.

  • Cut fish into 1-inch pieces.

  • Steam onion until tender.

  • Add potatoes, water, seasonings, and fish.

  • Cover and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender.

  • Add milk and margarine.

  • Heat.

  • Sprinkle with parsley.

  • Great for chilly evenings.
