Iron-Rich Broiled Liver Recipes

Ingredients

1 lb calves liver

1/2 tsp sea salt

1 large onion, ring sliced

3 tbsp vegetable oil

 

Method

  • Cut wiped liver into 1/2-inch thick slices.

  • Sprinkle with sea salt.

  • Place onion rings on top.

  • Brush with oil.

  • Broil 5 minutes.

  • Remove onion rings, turn and place onion rings on other side.

  • Broil 10 minutes longer until done.

  • A powerhouse of unbelievably good taste and a treasure of iron.
