Buttermilk Caraway Dressing Recipe

Ingredients

 

1/4 cup regular, all-purpose whole wheat flour

3 tbsp raw sugar

1 1/2 cups buttermilk

1/3 cup apple cider vinegar

2 tbsp margarine or corn oil

1 tbsp grated onion

1 1/2 tsp caraway seed

 

Method

  • In a 1-quart saucepan, combine flour and sugar.

  • Gradually add buttermilk, stirring until smooth.

  • Cook over medium, heat, stirring constantly until thickened.

  • Cook 2 additional minutes.

  • Remove from heat; add vinegar, margarine, onion, and caraway seed and stir until margarine is melted.

  • Chill before serving.
