Old-Fashioned Pea Soup Recipe

Ingredients:

 

1 cup split pea

1 large onion, chopped fine

2 tbsp soy oil

1/2 tsp summer savory (herb)

 

Method:

  • To 1 quart water add peas, onion and oil.

  • Simmer 45 minutes or until tender.

  • Add herb.

  • Simmer 5 minutes.

  • Serve with whole grain bread.
