Lima Bean Steak  Recipes

Ingredients

 

2 1/2 cups lima beans

1 1/2 cups bread cubes

1 1/4 cups milk

2 eggs

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

1 tbsp butter or margarine

1 tbsp vegetable oil

1 tsp sage

1/4 tsp celery powder

2 tsp chopped parsley

 

Method

  • Braise onion in butter until tender but not brown.

  • Whip the eggs; add the milk and pour over the bread.

  • Then add the beans and all seasoning.

  • Stir through well.

  • Bake in casserole, in moderate oven until set.

  • Cut into steak slices.
