Ingredients
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1/4 cup green pepper slivers
3 cups cooked garbanzos (chick peas)
1/2 cup small onion rings
1 1/2 cups stewed tomatoes
Method

Wash garbanzos.

Add twice as much cold water as the
beans and let soak overnight.

Cook in same water in heavy covered
stainless steel kettle for 6 hours.

Simmer onion rings and peppers in oil
for 3 minutes.

Add stewed tomatoes.

Let simmer only a few minutes to draw
out the "meat" flavor, then add to garbanzos.

Stir and serve.
