No-Chicken Drumsticks Recipes

Ingredients

 

3/4 cup onion, diced

Margarine

1/2 cup mashed potatoes

1 cup boiled, natural brown rice

1 hard-cooked egg, finely chopped

1 uncooked egg, beaten

1/2 cup chopped walnuts

2/3 cup whole wheat bread crumbs

vegetized seasoning

 

Method

  • Brown the onion in margarine with sprinkle of vegetized seasoning.

  • Now mix together all the other ingredients.

  • Shape into chicken legs; use a wooden stick (similar to chopstick) for the bone.

  • Roll in bread crumbs and egg and sauté in vegetable oil until golden brown.

  • Has all the taste appeal of drumsticks but is chicken- and meat-free.
