Tangy Tomato Sauce Recipe (Two Cups)

Ingredients:

 

1 cup tomato wedges

4 tbsp vegetable oil

1 chopped onion

1/2 tsp raw sugar or honey

1 clove garlic, crushed (optional)

1 bay leaf of sprig of sweet basil

Seasoning of vegetized salt to taste

 

Method:

  • Sauté onion and garlic in oil about 5 minutes; add tomatoes, bay leaf, or basil and cook to a thick sauce.

  • This will take about 45 minutes.

  • Add sugar or honey and vegetized salt; stir thoroughly.

  • Simmer 15 minutes.

  • Note: serve this sauce with meat load, fish or seafood, zucchini, eggplant, green peppers, spaghetti, rice, or noodles.
