Favorite Fish Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

 

2 cups water

4 onion slices

1 carrot

2 sprigs parsley

1 bay leaf

1 1/2 lbs fillet of flounder

1 tbsp sunflower seed oil

4 tsp flour

1 1/2 - 2 tbsp horseradish, drained

 

Method:

  • Combine water, onion, carrot, parsley, and bay leaf; simmer 10 minutes.

  • Roll fillets and drop into stick,

  • Simmer 10-12 minutes or until fish turns white and flakes easily.

  • Remove from liquid; reserve 1 cup stock.

  • Add additional water if desired.

  • Stir sunflower seed oil in flour until well blended.

  • Gradually add reserved fish stock, stirring constantly.

  • Simmer 10 minutes or until liquid is of sauce consistency.

  • Remove from heat and stir in horseradish.

  • Serve with fish.
