Suggested for meat, fish or poultry.
3 tbsp vegetable oil
2 tbsp chopped onion
2 tbsp chopped green pepper
1/4 cup sliced mushrooms
2 cups tomato wedges
1/2 tsp basil
Cook onion, green pepper, and sliced mushrooms in oil over low heat for about 5 minutes.
Add tomatoes and seasonings and simmer until the sauce is thick, about 30 minutes.
