Calorie Savers' Fruit Sherbet Recipe

Ingredients:

 

1 tbsp gelatin

1/4 cup water

2 tsp honey

1 cup fruit slices, chopped

Juice of 2 lemons

2 egg whites, stiffly beaten

1 cup orange juice

 

Method:

  • Soften gelatin in water about 5 minutes; dissolve over hot water.

  • Stir honey into fruit slices.

  • Now add gelatin, lemon juice, and orange juice and combine everything together, except egg whites.

  • Freeze in refrigerator tray until mushy.

  • Remove to bowl, beat hard for several seconds.

  • Add stiffly beaten egg whites.

  • Again beat hard about 5 seconds, return to tray and freeze.
