8 apples (about 2 lbs) quartered
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp black cherry or grape juice
Combine apples and water in saucepan.
Cover and simmer 15 to 20 minutes, or until tender.
Add black cherry or grape juice,
Whirl in blender or force through food mill.
Chill and use whenever the urge for a sweet grabs you.
