Suncooked "Chocolate" Cake Recipe

  • Take desired variety of whole grains and soak for 48 hours.

  • Let dry.

  • Combine 1 part kernels, 2 parts pitted dates, 1 part raisins, and 1 part figs; put through food mill.

  • Into mixture, work carob meal (chocolate-tasting flour sold at health food stores) and roll to 1 inch thickness.

  • Cut into slices.

  • Set out in hot sunshine until dry, about about 4 to 5 hours.

  • An excellent "sun-kissed" cake with natural ingredients yet free from artificial chocolate taste additives.
